Reliability is of paramount importance for subsea control valves, as the cost of recovery can be considerable.

Schoolhill Hydraulic Engineering has supplied over 500 quick dump valves for North Sea applications. These range from non-compensated types for topside actuators to hydrostatically-compensated models for subsea trees.

Our valves have proven to be highly reliable; one of the main reasons for this is our avoidance of steel on steel moving parts throughout the entire product range. Our standard materials are 316 stainless steel but most other corrosion resistant alloys are also available.

Rotatable Exhaust Port

Schoolhill Hydraulic Engineering has designed rotatable exhaust sleeves. This feature can be incorporated within any of our quick dump valves. It is very useful when valves are connected with NPT ports and the final orientation of the valve cannot be predicted. The portable exhaust feature allows the exhaust port to be orientated through 360˚so it can face in any direction, regardless of make-up pipework orientation.
